Application Packet
Application and Review Process:
 
Any project with a soil disturbance of 5,000 square feet or more requires that a Soil Erosion and Sediment Control plan be submitted to our office for review. Plans are reviewed within 30 days. If they are found to be in accordance with the Standards for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control in New Jersey* technical requirements, the plan will be certified and approved for construction. (Standards for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control in New Jersey are available for purchase through our office at $35 per copy if picked up, or $40 if mailed. Checks should be made out to Freehold SCD - 4000 Kozloski Road, PO Box 5033, Freehold, NJ 07728. Orders should include a contact name, postal mailing address, and zip code. )
 
The application packet contains the paperwork, fee schedule, erosion and sediment control notes, and instructions required for a District review. To conserve paper applicants should submit:
  • 3 sets of the Soil Erosion and Sediment Control plan
  • 1 copy of the drainage report including the stability and erosion control calculations
  • 1 copy of the stream encroachment report (if applicable)
  • 1 set of the overall site plans

Plans may be prepared by an engineer or architect licensed in the State of New Jersey. Submit completed application forms and plans, with original signatures, and fees to the District for review and certification.
 
*The Application Packet contains several documents and takes a minute to download, so please be patient. 
 
Please Note: The Stormwater Construction Permit Request for Authorization (RFA) application process has now changed and applications will no longer be processed at the District.  Please go to www.nj.gov/dep/dwq/hot.htm for permit application information.
